Obituary of Leo H. Boyd

Leo H. Boyd was born on July 15, 1923 in McAlester, OK. He passed away on February 22, 2004 in Boise, ID. He graduated from Galt High School and joined the Navy in 1941 as a seaman recruit. In 1971, after 30 years, he retired from the Navy as a Lt. Commander. Twenty-nine of those thirty years were served iun the submarine service. Subsequent to his military career he returned to Galt and served as Supervisor for Hydroelectric Maintenance for two major utility companies in California. He then traveled the United States as a Quality Control Engineer for Electric Boat Company, which build nuclear submarines. Leo and nna moved to Grand View from Galt on August 21, 1991. Leo is survived by his wife of 58 years, Anna Gwen of Grand View, daughter; Nancy Reed and son-in-law; Maurice ?Smokey? Reed, and daughter; Gwen Dasaro all of Sacramento, CA, grandchildren; Scot Reed, Cherise Kennedy and Cory Dasaro of California, 5 great-grandchildren; sister; Dolly Eich of Thornton and brother; Carl Boyd of Falls Church, VA. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Galt District Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
