Don Gehring told me of Harolds death. I am so very sorry to hear this. I never had the chance to meet Harold, but was able to meet Fred & Bertha when they visted my Grandparents: Otto and Elizabeth Mehlhaff. If Harold was anything like his parents, he was a wonderful, loving and caring man. My Father, Floyd, remembers Harold quite well. May you find peace knowing that Harold is in a better place with family who also loved him during their time on earth. I am sure Harold made positive impacts on those who knew and respected him. I feel in my heart that Harold was that kind of a man, know that your sorrow is felt by all who knew him. God Bless all of you! With sincere sympathy, Floyd & Alice Mehlhaff & family; Connie Jo, Robert,Rickey;James O. & Deloris Mehlhaff; Olene Mehlhaff-White & family; Gary, Grant & Nancy Elizabeth

I've known Harold for as long as I can remember. Our old neighborhood was the best. Lots of kids and great times just playing and using our imaginations. Lots of families getting together for barbeques and games.I remember Harold as always doing his yard work and going golfing. He was a quiet man.He was also quite the handyman around the house. He cared for his wife Evelyn and for his sons & grandchildren He always shared his oranges and I am sad that he is gone. My thoughts and prayers go out to his whole family. It's not easy losing your parents. I still drive by the old neighborhood and remember the past. I will be thinking about you all on Friday. I thought both of your parents were very sweet people, and they will be greatly missed. I'm sorry I can't be at the service this Friday, but I will be thinking of you all. Always, Shirley
