I have very fond memories of Ray. He stopped by our house here on Crescent Avenue regularly while I was growing up to talk with my father, Kenny, about this or that. They had a lot in common: Both grew up in Dakota, survived the Depression, and served their country during WWII. He always had a warm smile and a kind word. After he moved to another street, he still stopped in to visit now and then. I also saw him at church regularly and we would joke about trading jobs: I told him I would usher & hand out the bulletins if he would play the organ for me! Again, he always had a warm demeanor. He told me many times what a fine man my father was and how he missed visiting with him. His sincere words were always comforting to me. We send our sincere condolences to you, Agnes, and your entire family. May your warm memories of Ray bring you solace in the days ahead.
