My Sincerest condolences to Brian's family. I was priviledged to be one of his boyhood friends in Wimer. We had a gas growing up together. He taught me how to ride dirt bikes. We fished at the dredge ponds for catfish. That we stocked in his grandparents pond. There will be a hole in my heart and I am saddened that he his gone. But he is in my memories, riding his bike, taking photographs and being a friend. MJB.

Although I have not seen Brian for many years, I still felt a loss when I heard of his untimely passing. Brian was always a very giving and caring friend. I have very fond of the memories from our High School and College years. He was an outstanding athlete, a great student and a faithfull friend. We spent quite a bit of time in Rogue River and Medford riding motorcycles, fixing his truck and just hanging out. Even though I have not seen him in many years, I know he touched many other people in the same way he touched my life. I will miss him and I know he will be missed by his family and friends. May God Bless and comfort his family.

I first met Brian at the Academy when he was in my Senior class and I couldn't miss him as he towered over me. He was a sweetheart to me then and I never forgot his encouraging words. When I transferred to Ventura in '89 I had the pleasure of laughing and working with him until I transferred to SLO. He was great on his M/C, he actually worked, it was great. Then to my great pleasure he transferred to SLO and I had the honor of working with him again. I missed him when he transferred. I will miss him very much. My thoughts and prayers to his family and other friends. Jax.

WE ARE SO SORRY TO HEAR OF BRIAN'S PASSING. ALTHOUGH WE HAVE KEPT IN TOUCH WE COULD NOT BELIEVE THE HORRIBLE NEWS WE HEARD ON T.V. HE WAS A WONDERFUL PERSON AND I KNOW THAT IT IS AN AWFUL LOSS FOR THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. HE WAS A WONDERFUL OFFICER AND SPOKE WELL OF HIS DUTIES. HOW I WISH WE HAD DRIVEN INTO TOWER PARK TO SEE IF HE AND LORI WERE STILL THERE. SUCH A SAD LOSS FOR ALL. PLEASE KNOW OUR HEARTS AND PRAYERS ARE SAD AND WE ASK GOD TO BLESS THOSE HE LEFT BEHIND. LORI YOU CAN CALL ON US ANYTIME IF YOU WANT TO JUST TALK OR IF WE CAN DO ANYTHING FOR YOU. WE CANNOT IMAGINE THE SORROW YOU FEEL. GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU.

Brian was my buddy. I met him when he transferred in to SLO. I dispatch on graves which is where Brian stayed almost the whole time he was here. We hit it off from the start with mutual harrassment, always kept me laughing and/or rolling my eyes. Always called me `Wilson' and there was never a dull moment no matter who his partner was. Can never forget veh vs cow on the dispatch center floor! I have had the pleasure of watching Courtney grow up since she and her mom Tami moved up to this area several years ago and boy when I met Brian it was obvious she is a spittin' image of her dad and also got his nutty sense of humor. I really missed Brian when he transferred out as I had just gotten to know Lori too. Those few months he was in SLO left me with a buddy for life, it breaks my heart it was cut so short, but I will always have the memories to make me laugh or smile. My heart, love and prayers go out to Courtney, his family and friends, as he touched a whole heck of a lot of us in his short time on this earth, he will be very much missed and never forgotten. We are blessed to have Courtney, his greatest gift, his daughter. `Brian, I miss ya buddy, and hey, I wonder if they'll issue you a motor, boots & those funky britches with ur wings, best let us know. ' Wilson

I had the pleasure of working with Brian several years ago when he was assigned to the CHP's Office of Judicial Protection. Brian was a very bright and intelligent man who was a natural leader. He was our "go to guy" anytime there were questions -- whether questions of CHP policy or "real world" questions -- Brian always knew the answers. We looked up to him literally because of his size ... I'm sure glad he was on our side! We looked up to him figuratively because he always held himself to the highest standards ... and always expected it of others! It was obvious Brian had an uncompromising moral character that was guided by his innate sense of fairness and justice. I am proud to have known Brian and to call him my friend. His family is rightfully proud of the the noble legacy he has left behind in the hearts and minds of countless officers and friends who had the good fortune and extreme pleasure of knowing him. I miss him dearly already. God speed, Brian.
