From the very first day that I met Judy at the Robert Mondavi Winery I knew I had met a special lady. Judy and I became fast friends and that friendship carried us through 10 years of working together sharing laughter, tears and family stories with one another. I will miss Judy every day for the rest of my life but some day I am going to meet up with her again and she and I will continue on with our shopping. May God Bless you Bill, Jamie, Ron and your entire family.

I consider myself very fortunate to have spent time working with Judy at the winery. Judy had a gift for being such a quality person of caring sharing and humor I was a transplant from the Bay Area and Judy was so good about making me feel welcome. She had an enthusiasm for work, life and family that was very inspiring. She and Sheryl, another co-worker, made for quite a tag team. They would buckle down when things were tough but never were so busy they couldn't laugh at a comical situation one or the other created. Their laughter was infectious and put many a smile on my face. When things got a little slow or the right opportunity presented itself they could be as funny as any comedy team without even a hint of effort. Judy was very proud of her Lodi roots. I would from time to time tease her about Lodi and some of the small town nature. She was always quick to defend the town she called home and enjoyed so much. I think she was well aware of some of the shortcomings of a small town. More importantly though she embraced the town and the sense of community it provided. She made the most of the place she called home and Lodi was all the better for having her as a resident. Judy traveled a fair amount but while you could take her out of Lodi you sure couldn?t take the Lodi out of her. Her smile, laughter, caring and enthusiasm will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. Thanks Judy for touching my life in a very meaningful way.

We never know when the Lord calls one home. I look forward to seeing you, Judy, in Heaven. It was great getting to know you in school. I think that we went to Needham and I know Lodi High together. It was fun working with you on our last class reunion in 2003. Much sympathy goes to your family. I will remember them in prayers.

Dear Bill, Ron, Mrs. Mayer, Jamie, Ben, Benjamin, Jackson, Alice, Ben & Sarah, Tyler, and Lynne, There will always be a radiant glow about Judy, especially in our memories. She always conveyed that she was genuinely happy to see you - (she loved to tease me that she was headed to Europe again - m)......and the twinkle in her eye mirrored her father's. We know your grief is simply too much right now and we are so very sorry. Hopefully the strength from each of us who love Judy will help all of her precious family through this difficult time. Our love and deepest sympathy, Dan and Miriam, Brandon, Colleen, Marisa and JJ

I've worked at The Mayer Family Winery (mistakenly known as Woodbridge Winery, to those people unfamiliar with the true history of the place) for about 28 years. That is where I met Paul & Gladys, Judy & Bill, Ron & Alice, and all the kids and grandkids. Everything that David Madsen said above rings true for me. Judy was fun and always smiling. In a cheery voice, she would always ask "How's Crandell today?" I would pick on her when she'd come over to our office to check in with Ron and we would always end up laughing about something. Good memories! But, I didn't ALWAYS tease her. We talked about her trips, Bill, Jamie, what it was like to be Ron's sister, and things like that. One thing I did pick up on: She was very proud and excited about her two darling grandkids. They were very special people to her. Bill, Jamie & Ben, Gladys, Ron & Alice, and all the kids, I pray that God will give you strength and comfort while you adjust to this huge change in your life. Jim

Our families grew up together. Judy's family lived just down the street. We spent many happy times together on annual trips to the snow along with other outings. Judy will be greatly missed and I will always remember her quick smile. Also, it was always fun to watch Ron or maybe at times help him to tease Judy and her friends. I will always have those fond memories. Rest in peace. Ken

Growing up, Judy was always so fun to have at family gatherings. She was always smiling and laughing, and simply fun to be around. In fact, it will be her laughter and smiles that I will remember most. Always thoughtful with her gifts, she never forgot a birthday or special occasion. As I had children of my own, Judy always sent thoughtful and meaningful gifts for the boys. For my oldest son's first Christmas, Judy bought Conner a red fire engine with flashing lights. Of all the gifts that he received that year, it was the red fire engine that he was taken with most. We will always hold Judy closely in our hearts, and fondly in our memories.

I can't tell you how much I am going to miss Judy, she was always so full of life. We (cards) always enjoyed teasing her because she was always in a hurry to go home and to bed because she had to get up so early for work, and yet she always won! I think she was a card counter! She is going to leave a big hole in our group and it will be difficult for us to play for awile I'm sure. I am so sorry Sandy

My school friend, Judy. We had many wonderful times together both in high school and after we graduated. Our friendship was a lasting one as years passed as we raised our families and our lives took some different roads. We had wonderful girlfriend get togethers and our dinner get togethers through the years kept our friendship alive. Since moving to Montana we didn't see each other often, but always knew we could count on each other when needed. Judy will hold a special spot in my heart and I will treasure our memories.

I first met Judy years ago when she and my sister-in-law started a Bunco group. I sort of lost track of her after that until her best friend married my best friend last year. I always remembered her sense of humor and her laugh, even though we hadn't seen each other for a long time! We all went on a cruise to Mexico last year and I remember one time in particular where she and I got the giggles for no apparent reason (unless it was the margaritas). Bill and family, we are so very sorry for your loss. Judy will be sorely missed!

Judy and I go back to grammer school, we used to go over to each other's house after school. We were not real close friends in high school, but would run in to each other occasionally through the years. Just a week ago on Thursday, June 16th, I saw her in Dr Gills' offce and she looked wonderful. She told me she just had a hysterectomy two weeks ago and felt wonderful. She had her broad wonderful smile and made me feel so good that she was doing so well. I was so saddened and felt so sorry for her family when I heard the sad news. Iwill miss running into her in Lodi and want her family to know she will be smiling down on them. The last thing Judy said to me was that I should go to our class reunions. I will really try to go in memory of a very wonderful person. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family. Love, Sharon

My brother called me to let me know that he had read Judy's obituary. I'm so very sorry to learn that Judy had passed away. I have so many great memories of times with Judy. When we were just little kids, we went to the same church (EUB) and sometimes we'd go to each other's home after church on Sunday. I'm so glad we had a chance to visit at our 40th LUHS Reunion last year. Judy will be greatly missed. May God bless you with his peace, Lynette (Schmierer) Ross
