Obituary of Greg Thomas Schneider

Greg Thomas Schneider of Sacramento passed away unexpectedly in Sacramento at the age of 48 on July 22, 2005. Greg was born in Oakland, California on February 14, 1957 to Albert and Helen Schneider. He grew up in Hayward, eventually moving to Danville. He graduated from Monte Vista High School in Alamo. Greg was a Veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving from 1975-1979. After the service he worked for Rex Pacific Food Distributors in the Bay Area. He later moved to Lodi for four years and then Sacramento for the last two years. He was currently employed by Concrete Incorporated. He was a NASCAR fan, having been personally involved in race cars, as a pit boss. He enjoyed fishing, camping, swimming, and in his earlier years, he played hockey. He is survived by his children, Tanya and Greg; mother, Helen Schneider of Lodi; brother, Michael Schneider of Lodi; sister, Vicki and husband, Gary Mendes of Lodi. Greg was preceded in death by his father, Albert Schneider in 1992. Services and committal are private. There is no visitation.
