Please share a memory of Mickey to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Miyoko "Mickey" Nakagawa passed away in Lodi at the age of 85 on August 8, 2005. Mickey was born in Japan on February 14, 1920. She came to the U.S. when she was an infant. She was self-employed as a farmer for most of her life, farming on her family farm of grapes, melons and squash. The Nakagawa family farm was established almost 80 years ago. Mickey enjoyed gardening, both vegetables and flowers, but she particularly enjoyed her orchids. Her greatest love, however, was being with her family. She is survived by her sister, Satomi Nakagawa of Lodi and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Percy, Roy, Fred and Billy Nakagawa; one sister, Tonami Nakagawa. She was a member of the Buddhist Church of Lodi and the Fujinkai. There will be a Funeral Committee meeting at the Buddhist Church on Wednesday at 7:00 PM. A service will be held at the Buddhist of Lodi on Friday at 1:00 PM with Reverend Kenshin Fujimoto officiating. There is no visitation, and committal is private.
