I was deeply saddened and shocked to hear about the loss of such a wonderful lady. My heartfelt sympathies go out to her family and especially her children. Carolyn spoke of you both so often with so much love and joy in her voice. She was a very proud mother indeed. Although I only knew Carolyn a short while, she touched my heart with her warmth, humor, and kind spirit. I'll never forget her delicious chocolate chip cookies, her hearty laugh, and her many funny stories. She will be truly missed. Please hold in your hearts the many wonderful memories of her and the thought that she is now at peace with the Lord. I am sending all of you thoughts of light and gentleness to surround you with solace and hope in this difficult time. Remember, those we hold most dear never truly leave us....

Carolyn will forever be in my thoughts and prayers. To this day I smile when I remember her with the overalls on backwards or the time she tried to teach me to dance, only to learn that somethings are not meant to be. I worked with Caroline at SSC Kaiser. She knew me as Sandi Niman. We worked as phlebotimists and I can remember her by her smile and wonderful laugh. She had a laugh that when she laughed everyone laughed just by listening to her funny laugh. Wow this was a total shock to me to hear that she is now gone. I also remember her speaking very proudly of her children. My prayers go out to all of the family.

Uncle Houston, Aunt Wanda, Mark, and family, We are very sorry for your loss and are praying earnestly for the Lord to comfort you during this time. Though the miles and years separated Carolyn and I, I will remember her fondly as the smiling, exuberant girl Mom and I visited when I was a kid. It may seem silly, but I'll always be grateful to her for giving me my first taste of non-country music when she and Tammy played the Eagles Greatest Hits in her room during that visit! Remember those good times and take peace in the knowledge that God heals the broken hearted and has put His loving arms around you right now. With love and sympathy, Aron, Mary, and Ethan Smith
