With more than three decades of teaching together and a friendship that carried into retirement, I have many fond memories of Jean. The things that stand out the most are her compassion for others and her sense of humor. I remember trying to keep a straight face when sitting next to her at many a staff meeting. I treasure all my memories as well as the phone conversation we had less than three weeks ago. I am blessed to have know Jean as a friend and a colleague. My condolences to Tom, Angie, Amy, and the rest of her family.

I am so so sorry. Mrs. Robertson was a jewel. I had no idea if she was sick so I was very saddened when I read the paper on her passing. It has been a few years since Davis school, but Mrs. Robertson happily took my daughter, Brooke Bernazzani into her classroom and under her wings. My daughter has Down Syndrome and Mrs. Robertson treated her as if she didn't. She made the transistion into regular education a blessing. There were so many funny times as Brooke was very testy. But Mrs. Robertson always came through with helping Brooke excel. Mrs. Robertson will always be in my thoughts and my memories. She truely cared about children and their progress. She embodied what a teacher stands for. I am ever so lucky that both my children had her for their first teacher as she was loving, giving and kind. She was very structured in her classroom. Any time you walked in, there was never chaos. Always happy little faces. Many children will grow up and never forget her because she truely cared about each and every child. Mrs. Robertson, you will be forever missed, and always remembered. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Joann Eakin and Brooke and Joseph Bernazzani
