The first time I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Rice was in 1997 during our time with the Year 2000 Committee. I realized immediately that he was kind, helpful, and witty. Over the years, I have enjoyed working many events with Walt and Dorean. Walter loved his family, his friends, and his community. It has been an honor to know Mr. Walter Rice and his family. I will miss you Walt.
