The first time I meet Edna was in the summer of 1974 and I had a imitate feeling that she was my second mom. I have never seen Edna put herself first she always set aside her needs to see that the family had what they needed. Over the years I almost couldn?t wait for the holiday?s to come because you could be sure the oven was baking cookies and all the special things that come with the holidays. Edna was also a very avid reader she loved her books almost every time you would see her and she had a free moment she had a book in her hand and if I had a nickel for every book she had read I could retire today. The knowledge she had retained from her books was sometimes amazing. I always would enjoy sitting back and listening to the conversation that would go on between Edna and her daughter Donna when they would play scrabble together. You could almost bet that during the game you would hear something like that?s not a word and about 99.9% of the time out would come the dictionary and sure enough it?s a word. Edna was a Gemini just like myself and there were many time?s the 4 of us would sit and talk and she was a very understanding and loving person she has helped me with many troubled times. Edna will be greatly missed and our God has called on one of his best creations to come home and I was just thinking he must have had a opening for a teacher and I hope when he call?s on me to come home I get to be in her class. Edna will always be in our heart God Bless.
