To my daddy whom I love, I miss you so much! I will always remember our good times. We have many good memories together, and I am so glad we were so close. Dad you were my best friend. Many of my friends envy what you and I shared together. You were such a good listener, you gave great advice, and we always had a good laugh together. I will miss our coffee dates, and our shopping trips. I will miss putting up our Christmas lights, and my housekeeping service. You will never be forgotten. I know you are at peace now. Don't worry about mom, Marissa and I. We will be o.k. We will take care of eachother. Watch over us dad, and we will see you in heaven! I love you daddy and I will always remember our memories!

Daddy~ I will always miss you. Christian has pictures of you hanging above his bed and before bed we always say good night. I will to try to have this new baby on your birthday so it wont be so hard for us. Jeff and I will always talk about you to your grandchildren and tell them how much you loved them and loved smelling Christian when he would get out of the bath. I know u will be looking over us and u are better off being an angel in heaven. Everything went so fast I am still getting used to the fact u arnt really coming home. I've been so busy getting the funeral together that I go to ur house now and I miss not seeing u sitting @ ur spot on the couch with popcorn sitting on ur belly. You are the best daddy ever. I was so lucky to be adopted into such a wonderful family. I love you daddy.

I met George a little over three years ago at the Senior Center Swimming Pool in Lodi where we both swam in the early morning. When I first introduced myself I learned his name by remembering him as "George of the Jungle". We smiled at each other everytime we saw each other because I would always kid him about how I wanted his swimming goggles. Over time all I said was, "Goggles", to him and he would respond the same, "Goggles". He was fun to be with at the "Ole Swimming Hole". I wondered what happened to him when I didn't see him for such a long time. Now I know.

What a wonderful friend you are. How could I have known that hospital visit at Stanford on Palm Sunday would be the last time I would see you until I am called "home" as you were that Thursday morning. I admired your example as husband & father. Your humor, calming demeanor & patience made me feel I was important to you.The lunches at Gleason's Ice Cream, the small group Bible study last year, our fishing trip, the TBC Men's Retreat &Casa Flores dinners (with Flan) made me wish everyone could have a friend like you!

George was a very special man. I feel so privileged and honored to have known him. When I first started attending the Hosanna Sunday school class at Temple Baptist I felt quite out of place. George would always call my wife and I over to sit by him and Georgine. George would ask: "How are you?", "What have you been up to?", "Have you had any good fishing trips lately?". We'd talk about fishing, real estate, etc. (before and after class). He was always interested in what I was doing. This is a special characteristic that most people don't possess (constantly taking the focus off of himself and placing it on those around him in such a kind, generous and thoughtful way). I felt that our friendship would grow and we had recently socialized outside of church as well. We intended to do some fishing together and had other interests in common too. I don't really have many other friends and was really looking forward to this growing friendship with George. Thoughtful, humble, kind, gracious, these words describe my friend George. I'll really miss you George.
