Obituary of Ruth Lehr

Mrs. Ruth Lehr of Acampo passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2006 in a Sacramento hospital at the age of 90. Mrs. Lehr was born January 21, 1916 in Gackle, North Dakota to Jacob and Katherine Zimmerman. Mrs. Lehr was a homemaker and long time member of First Baptist Church in Lodi. She taught Sunday school and served in church functions. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, listening to gospel music, doing crossword puzzles, spending time with and cooking for friends and family. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Melbert Lehr of Acampo; 3 daughters, Connie Caskey and husband Garry of Lodi; JoAnn Wasden and husband Glenn of Volcano; Diana Wolff and husband James of Lodi; 7 grandchildren, Kris Weible, David and Dawn Lehr, Joshua Caskey and wife Dawn, Eric Wolff, Jonathan and Jacob Wasden; 2 great grandchildren, Zoe Caskey and Krish Bhatia; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son David Lehr in 1971, 3 brothers, Jacob, Christ, and Harold Zimmerman, 4 sisters Emma Larson, Lydia Mueller, Alta Vigario, Bertha Fricke and a grandson Shannon Weible. A church service will be held Monday June 12, 2006, 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church in Lodi, followed by internment at the Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery.
