Dear Ida, Cousins and Family, Please accept our sincere sympathy in the loss of Aaron. I have good memories of the California trips and of visits to your house when I was little and also in grade school. I also have good memories about the visits Aaron made with Ida to North Dakota. Aaron always had a smile on his face, had a chuckle or two and seemed to enjoy the family gatherings. His sisters certainly loved him and used to dote on him when he was a child. I have heard many stories through the years. May you be comforted by your memories and the good times you shared and enjoyed together. May Aaron and all the children of Henry and Christina Schmitt rest in peace. They are gone, but not forgotten. Love, Yvonne, Gene & Amber

We happen to be visiting and reminiscing together in Bismarck. Marilyn remembers the Christmas Uncle Aaron & Aunt Ida visited the Schaffer farm and took us sledding on a pasture hill. Pat and Connie are recalling Christmas 1952. We have so many happy memories of that trip. We all remember Uncle Aaron teasing us playfully.

Aunt Ida and Family...surely the many pleasant memories will help comfort you all this day. Uncle Aaron had a full life but these past months I am sure have not been the best for him and for you all. He safely rests now in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. He is at eternal peace. And I'll bet if I know Uncle Aaron he is singing up a storm and dancing the polka with all the angelic band. May God bless his memory in our midst. Love...Dewey and Wanda too

I was saddened to hear of Uncle Aaron's passing. The 11 Schmitt brothers and sisters who were my uncle and aunts have now all passed from this life to eternal life with the Lord. I miss each and every one of them. May your family find comfort in the knowledge that we shall one day all be together, never to be seperated again.
