Please share a memory of Helen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Helen Beatrice Schock passed away at her home in Lodi on June 22, 2006. She was born on February 2, 1914 in Sundance, Wyoming to David and Fannie Kaiser. She along with husband Fred settled in the Lodi area in 1936. The two were married for 48 loving years until his passing in 1984. Helen was a member of the Lodi Gem and Mineral Society and was a self-proclaimed "rock hound." Her interest in lapidary inspired her to turn rocks into jewelry. She was also a member of Lodi Avenue Baptist Church. Helen enjoyed gardening, drawing, cooking, and horses, but she will be best remembered for her love for her family and friends. "Granny", as she was so well-known, will be dearly missed. Helen is survived by her children Audrey and husband Robert Gleave of Acampo, Howard and wife Patty Schock of Stockton, Donald and wife Cindy Schock of Lodi, Theresa and husband Harvey Bettenhausen of Sutter Creek, and Robert and wife Diane Schock of Lodi; daughter-in-law Betty Schock; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers Lincoln and Duane Kaiser of Washington; sister Grace Faulkner; many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by loving caregivers Sandy Lewis and Lila Wehinger. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Schock; son David Schock; brothers Milton, Howard, and Albert Kaiser; and sister Eunice Bengston. Friends are invited to visit on Sunday, June 25 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm and Monday from 8:00 am until 8:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at Cherokee Memorial Park on Tuesday, June 27 at 10:00 am. Immediately following the service there will be a reception held at Lodi Avenue Baptist Church, 2301 W. Lodi Avenue. Memorial contributions may be made in Helen's honor to Hospice of San Joaquin County, 3888 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, CA 95204-1953.
