Obituary of Glenace Mae Meyer

Mrs. Glenace Mae Meyer of Lodi passed away Saturday July 1, 2006, in a Lodi hospital at the age of 74. Mrs. Meyer was born April 3, 1932 in Wolsey, South Dakota to Martin and Charlotte Christopherson. Mrs. Meyer worked as a bookkeeper for Valley Industries for many years before retiring in 1990. Mrs. Meyer was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Lodi and the Lodi Moose Lodge. She enjoyed needlework camping, fishing, traveling, cooking and preparing for the Christmas Holiday and mostly spending time with her children grandchildren. She will be best remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and for her friendly smile and great sense of humor. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Bruce Meyer of Lodi, 3 sons, Chad Meyer and wife Marchelle of Elk Grove; Curtis Meyer of Las Vegas; Cordell Meyer and wife Diane of Santa Fe, New Mexico; 1 daughter, Crystal Gleason of Stockton; 1 brother Homer Christopherson of Brookings, South Dakota; 1 sister, Lois Harder of Wolsey, South Dakota; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 8 brothers and 2 sisters. A chapel service will be held Thursday July 6, 2006, 10:00am at the Lodi Funeral Home, followed by interment at the Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday 12:00-8:00pm at the Lodi Funeral Home.
