I can't really believe she is gone...I know GOD called her home so, so, so very early and I know it was for the better since she is no longer suffering, but it was still too soon. I have many memories of E'Trece, how I loved coming to babysit her on the weekends when she was born...and even lying to my aunt, just to spend your spring break week with you, E'Trece and DeAndre...I got in trouble for that, but it was worth it, because that was the last time I was able to see you guys. E'Trece held on for a reason, her smile and presence could brighten any room, almost as if she was angelic. I really regret that I can't make it there to bid you farewell, E'Trece. So, I will put aside my grudge with the LORD and this is my goodbye. Sherry, I love you, I may not have any biological sisters so I gained a few through my brothers and I appreceiate you for all you have been in my life. DeAndre, nephew, I will always love you. Just remember that things may not always happen the way we would like them to, but they happen for a reason. Things may start off hard, but they usually end good. Love you.

Look at the Stars and think perhaps they are not Stars, but openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pour through and shine down upon us to let us know they are happy. We will never forget the joy your daughter brought to our lives. The boys speak often and fondly of the few times they spent with E'Trece - her smile and happiness despite her disease. Dear Family, I have know E'trece since she starteds at River Oaks School. I was a yard supervisor, then moved on to be the cafeterial supervisor. SHE LOVED our food, she was a very sweet child. I am so very sorry for the loss of your daughter E'trece. I was one of Mrs. Jackson fifth period students in 2001-2002 school year at Fremont. I remember E'trece coming into class being such a happy and beautiful little girl. One of my twin daughters passed away at birth, and I have always kept this in mind, they are in a better place now and only God know why He does these things. You will all be in my heart and prayers. The memories that I am so found of is when E'trece would come to my house every week for awhile so I could give her a massage. It was a very intimate moment that just her and I could share, where I could make her feel comfortable and relaxed. She would eventually fall asleep and drool on the sheets. :) It was far more than a massage for me, it was loving her in a way that I knew how and if she could feel comfort for only just a moment then it was so worth it and it was a time of peace shared just between the two of us. I never had the privilege to meet E'trece but I was touched by the testimony of her sincere faith in God, especially considering her age and circumstances. I am certain that this faith helped and inspired others during her short life to embrace the Lord and His lessons and will for each of us. Words could never be enough to describe this young girl. E'trece was truly an angel on earth. You needed to go no further than to touch her hands. They were soft, elegant and filled with grace. Clearly, an extension of within. I can't remember a time when she would not lift my spirits by her words, her actions or merely a smile.
