Obituary of Raymond Holguin Mercado

Raymond Holguin Mercado, Sr. of Lodi passed away unexpectedly in Lodi at the age of 58 on July 7, 2006. Mr. Mercado was born in French Camp on August 11, 1947 to Andre and Simona Mercado. He has lived in this area for most of his life. He worked in masonry work while he lived in the Los Angeles area. He enjoyed being with his family and friends. Mr. Mercado is survived by eight children, Regina Mercado of Arizona, Raymond H. Mercado, Jr. of Lodi, Angela Mercado of Lodi, Roberta Mercado of Duarte, CA, Simona Mercado of Idaho Falls, ID, Yolanda Mercado of Hesperia, Benny Mercado of Idaho Falls and Priscilla Mercado of Victorville; 10 grandchildren; four brothers, Robert of Lodi, Raul of Culver City, Freddrick of Lodi and Andrew Mercado of Bakersfield; 5 sisters, Esther Gomez of Lodi, Josephine Lozano of Lodi, Estella Juarez of Sacramento, Rachel Busane of San Diego and Helen Ahumada of Redlands. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Olivia Mercado and sister, Dolores Valenzuela. Friends are invited to visit on Monday at Lodi Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Chapel services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. Committal is private.
