Obituary of Lorna Darlene Tonn

Lorna Darlene Tonn passed away peacefully at the Vienna Convalescent Hospital, in Lodi, CA, on Friday, July 21, 2006, at the age of 98, surrounded by her loving family. Lorna was born on November 11, 1907, in Oregon City, Oregon, and was the daughter of John Edward Bryant of Missouri and Myrta Louisa Babcock of Kansas. She was married to Emanuel Tonn, of North Dakota in Lodi, in 1929. She graduated from Lodi Academy and the Loma Linda University nursing program with an R.N. degree. She was a devoted member of the English Oaks Seventh-day Adventist church, in Lodi. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, reading, gardening and her family. Lorna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Emanuel; her brother, Samuel; her daughter, Barbara Jean; her son, Donald; and her granddaughter, Susan Elaine. She is survived by her son, Elverne (AL); and her daughter, Betty Comstock. She was the grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to visit on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00p.m.at Lodi Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 25 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lodi Funeral Home, 725 South Fairmount Avenue, Lodi, CA, followed by burial at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 and Harney Lane, Lodi, CA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lorna's name to Voice of Prophecy, P.O. 53055, Los Angeles, CA 90053.
