Obituary of Lorenza Alacar

Lorenza Cayetano Alacar was born January 1, 1928 in Pangasinan, Philippines to Inpial and Laayan Cayetano. She passed away peacefully on August 7, 2006 in Lodi, California. She was 78. Raised and educated in the Philippines, she married Antonio Almarez Alacar on July 19, 1948 in Pangasinan. The couple made their home in Paoc Sur in Ilocos Sur, Philippines. Antonio moved to Lockeford, California in 1969 where he worked in farming. Lorenza joined him in Lockeford on June 15, 1975 and resided there with him until his death February 14, 1999. After Antonio passed away, Lorenza continued living in Lockeford. Mrs. Alacar is survived by her children; Rodolfo Alacar of Dixon, Roberto C. Alacar of Lockeford, Rolando Alacar of Delano, Clarita Haduca of the Philippines, Reynaldo Alacar of Acampo, Rizalino Alacar of Lodi, and Rafael Alacar of Stockton, sisters; Catalina Ramos and Rosing Funashier of the Philippines, 21 Grandchildren, and 3 Great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Inpial and Laayan Cayetano, 2 Brothers, and 1 Sister. Friends may visit Wednesday, August 23rd from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m., and Thursday, August 24th from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary, Thursday at 6 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Ave., and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 25th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne?s Catholic Church, corner of Church and Walnut, with interment at Cherokee Memorial Park immediately following.
