Obituary of Jimmy Lon Potts

Jimmy Lon Potts, a long-time resident of Stockton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 11, 2006 in Stockton at the age of 70. Mr. Potts was born in Oklahoma on July 4, 1936 to Lawrence and Silvia Potts. Mr. Potts served in the U. S. Marines from 1951 until 1953. He moved to California in 1975, retiring in 1996. He enjoyed reading and watching westerns and sports, particularly the A's and the Giants baseball games and the Oakland Raiders and the 49'ers games. He is survived by his wife, Susan Potts of Stockton; daughter, Vicki Potts of Oklahoma, son, John Potts of Arizona and daughter, Donna Potts; granddaughter, Renee Potts; twin brother, Billy Don Potts of Stockton; nephews, Jimmy and Jerime Potts of Stockton, niece, Sandra Potts and other nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ed and Raymond Potts and two sisters. There is no visitation, and committal is private.
