Obituary of Marie Goehring

Marie Goehring of Acampo passed away in Lodi at the age of 83 on September 15, 2006. Mrs. Goehring was born in Richmond, CA on March 23, 1923 to William and Emily Selles. They moved to this area in the late 1930's. She married Mr. Gideon Goehring in June of 1947. She was self-employed, owner of Marie's Second Hand Store in Stockton, retiring in 1987. She enjoyed gardening and collecting dolls and teddy bears. She was a member of VFW Post 1968, Ladies Auxiliary. She worked very hard during her lifetime. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and she will be dearly missed. Mrs. Goehring is survived by her three children, Loretta (Phillip) Webb of Acampo, George (Nancy) Goehring of Fresno and David Goehring of Acampo; four grandchildren, Alicia Camarco, Jessica Larsen, Lara Shields and Anne Montgomery; two great-grandchildren, Nicole Larsen and Alex Shields and two sisters, Anna Knoll and Lenna Papadimatos, both of Lodi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gideon Goehring on November 6, 1991, daughter, Mary McKay Stewart on August 14, 2003 and two brothers, George and Louie Selles. Friends are invited to visit on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Lodi Memorial Cemetery.
