Obituary of Lois Bernice Logan Marchus

Lois Bernice Logan was born February 18, 1915, to Irma Tuttle Logan and Val Jehu Logan in Fresno, California. The family lived in St. Helena, California. Lois graduated from Golden Gate Academy in Oakland, California in 1933 and from Glendale Sanitarium and Hospital School of Nursing in Glendale, California in 1938. She married Douglas Carlyle Marchus in 1940 in Glendale, California. Lois dedicated her life to sharing in Douglas? ministry as a Seventh-day Adventist pastor to many congregations in California, Texas, New Mexico, and Washington. In 1979, they returned to Lodi, California to retire, but continued with supportive ministry at English Oaks Seventh-day Adventist Church. They resided in Granite Bay, California since 2004. Lois passed away on September 22, 2006. Lois is survived by her husband of 66 years, Douglas; her daughter, Ginnie and Chuck Rosson of Roseville, California; daughter, Shirley Marchus of Fair Oaks, California; grandchildren, Heidi Hufnagel of Calistoga, California, Allison Marchus of Santa Barbara, California; Trudi and Mark Rosson of Roseville, California; Lori and John Conneally of Roseville, California; Michael and Cari Rosson of Roseville, California; five great-grandchildren; niece, Sharon Nakazawa of Palos Verdes, California; nephew, David Marchus of Napa, California and a large extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Fern Maynor and brother Everett Logan. Friends are invited to visit Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. Church services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at English Oaks Seventh-day Adventist. Committal will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to the English Oaks Seventh-day Adventist Church Building Fund, 1260 W. Century Blvd., Lodi, CA 95240.
