Obituary of Ignacio Macias

Ignacio Gudino Macias of Galt, passed away in Galt on Novemer 9, 2006 at the age of 75. Mr. Macias was born in Mexico on July 1, 1931 to Ignacio and Dolores Macias. He came to the United States 50 years ago, first to Thornton and then to Galt, within the last ten years. He was a cannery worker for at least 30 years, having worked for TVG. He was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Mr. Macias is survived by his wife, Silvia Macias of Galt; 16 children; numerous grandchildren; three brothers, and four sisters. He was preceded in death by one sister. Friends are invited to visit at Lodi Funeral Home on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be said on Tuesday at 6:30 at Lodi Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church with committal to immediately follow.
