Flossie Jane Overson, a long-time resident of Lodi, passed away on December 1, 2006 at the age of 93 in Lodi. Mrs. Overson was born in Lodi on June 4, 1913 to James and Ella Wilson. She was a homemaker and self-employed as a seamstress, as well as being part of a catering business. She enjoyed cooking, sports and spending time with her family. She learned the art of oil painting when she was 70, having painted a number of pieces. Up until June of 2006, she volunteered at Loel Center. Mrs. Overson is survived by one son, Ernest B. Erlbeck, Jr. of Tuscon, Arizona; two daughters, Janet Ann Erlbeck of Salt Lake City, Utah and Joyce Rodrigues of Orem, Utah; one step-daughter, Valerie Patricia Patrick of Orofina, Idaho; one brother, Everett Wilson of Gridley, CA; twelve grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry W. Overson, eight brothers, Birt, Perry, Virgil, James, Wayne, Wallace, Darrell and Reginald Wilson and five sisters, Ruth Lerza, Eleanor Sheppard, Faye Coe and two infant sisters. Friends are invited to visit Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 9th at Lodi Funeral Home. Committal will be private.
