Obituary of Karen Salas

Karen Louise Salas of Woodland, formerly of Lodi, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 59 on Friday, December 1, 2006 in Woodland. Karen was born in Lodi on January 3, 1947 to Merrie Louise Buchanan and Ben Salas. She attended Lodi Seventh-day Adventist Schools. She worked for a number of years in management and reception work, most recently for the last 19 years for Kaiser Hospital. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. She loved to travel, take trips to Tahoe and the Coast and take long scenic drives. But most importantly, she loved to be with her family, particularly her grandchildren. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend to many. She will be so very dearly missed. Karen is survived by her son, Keith David (Diana) Keller of Pleasanton; daughter, Gina (James) McGregor of Woodland; two grandchildren, Amanda and Cheyenne McGregor; mother, Merrie Louise Johnson of Woodland; brothers, Larry (Tammie) Salas of Coarse Gold, CA and nephew, Robby Salas of Alabama. She was preceded in death by her father, Ben Salas and former husband, Harvey Gene Keller. Friends are invited to visit Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with committal to immediately follow.
