Obituary of Thomas Ahling

Tom Ahling passed away November 29, 2006 in Woodbridge. He was 59 years old. Tom was born in Michigan on February 15, 1947. For Tom, selling and installing fireplaces was a 20 year passion, which started its roots in Southern California and was owner of Ahling Fireplace Products, Inc. Tom is lovingly survived by his children, Mark Ahling and Jill (son-in-law Brian) Raymond, grandchildren Markus and Alyssa Ahling and fiancee, Judy Vourlas. Tom is also survived by his mother, Virginia Ahling and sisters Marty Watson (Gordan), Chris Koebler (Andy) and brother Jim Ahling (Jan), along with countless other friends and family. Tom's passions included golfing at the Woodbridge County Club, riding his Harley, country music, and being with friends and family. He was always up for a good debate or a good joke. He enjoyed his glass of port, or a beer or smoking a cigar every once in a while. He also loved and will be missed by his dogs; Lucy and Shelby. Tom was an active person, enjoying many sports, such as volleyball and softball. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 4th at 1:00 PM at Lodi Funeral Home.
