Obituary of Mary Debono

Mary Debono, passed away in Lodi, California on December 8, 2006. She was 91 years old. She was born in Malta, Europe on November 12, 1915. Mary came to the United States in 1920; her family settled in San Francisco. She married Anthony Debono in 1933. They had two daughters, Sylvia and Rose Ann. After the death of her husband, she moved to San Bruno, California and worked for Home Maid Ravioli Company in San Mateo until her retirement in 1981. Mary moved to Lodi, California in 1990 and resided there until her death. She was a devoted, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. She is survived by two daughters; Sylvia Filipas, son-in-law Mario of Woodbridge, California and Rose Ann Muscat, son-in-law, Joseph of Moraga, California; grandchildren, Joseph Filipas, Lynette Haley, Anthony Muscat, Michelle Byron; eight great-grandchildren; her brother, Charles Xuereb, wife, Margaret and one niece and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Anthony Debono of 35 years on November 22, 1965. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Saturday, December 16, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Avenue, Lodi, California. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be said at the funeral home on Sunday, December 17, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 18, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Robert's Catholic Church, 1380 Crystal Springs Road, San Bruno, California. Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 1500 Mission Road, Colma, California.
