Obituary of Dolores Davies

Dolores Davies of Acampo passed away in Lodi on December 12, 2006 at the age of 91. Mrs. Davies was born in Wallace, California on March 6, 1915 to Ed and Lillie Jones Miller. She was a native Californian, the granddaughter of Mary Miller Ferguson who was born in Waterloo, California. Mrs. Davies graduated from Calaveras High School in June of 1933. She married Carl Davies on June 16, 1934 in Carson City, Nevada. She worked with her husband on their ranch in Acampo until he passed away in 1964. It was at this time that she sold the ranch. She enjoyed playing cards and cooking, but her greatest passion in life was her family, particularly her grandchildren. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She will be so very dearly missed by all who loved her. Mrs. Davies is survived by her two daughters, Norma(Gary) Hamrick of Acampo and Carolyn (Fred) Liebig of Galt; five grandchildren, Norman (Beverly) Liebig, Tammy (Tim) McGeorge, Julie (Eric) Duren, Terri (Allen) Elsholz, James (Marian) Hamrick; ten great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Christie, Kelli, Christopher, Tyler, Trevor, Michael, Michelle (husband, Shawn), Brittany and Megan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Davies in 1964. There is no visitation, and committal will be private at Glenview Cemetery.
