R. Edna Baker, a long-time resident of Lodi passed away in Lodi on December 26, 2006 at the age of 95. Mrs. Baker was born in West Emenance, Missouri on April 22, 1911 to Robert and Eva Fulcher. She moved to Oklahoma as a small child. She married Everett L. Baker on August 7, 1926 in Poteau, Oklahoma and moved to Lodi from Oklahoma with her husband in 1938. Her life was her family and church. She enjoyed picnics, fishing and hunting with her husband. At home, she enjoyed sewing, embroidery and working with her flower garden. She was an active member in the Pentecostal Church of God in Lockeford. Mrs. Baker is survived by her daughter, Betty Lou Hutchinson of Thornton; two sons, Robert Lee (Dorothy) Baker of Lodi and Everett Ray (Jan) Baker of Valley Springs; ten grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett L. Baker and two sons, Wayne and Melvin Lloyd Baker. Friends are invited to visit Saturday and Sunday at Lodi Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. A chapel service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. Committal will immediately follow.
