Obituary of Manuel Aguila

Manuel Lopez Aguila of Woodbridge passed away on January 5, 2007 at the age of 83 in Stockton. Mr. Aguila was born on June 23, 1923 to Florentino and Leovijilda Lopez Aguila in La Union de Tula, Jalisco, Mexico. He first came to the United States in 1955, settling in San Diego He came Woodbridge in 1966. He worked in agriculture as well as working for Southern Pacific Railroad. He was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church. He loved his family and enjoyed being with them. He was a devoted father and grandfather, and he will be dearly missed by all who loved them. Mr. Aguila is survived by his children, Ramona Aguila (Juan) Gonzalez of Woodbridge, Ernesto Manuel (Shermane) Aguila of Woodbridge, Maria Irma (Daniel) Aguila Ramos of Stockton, Arturo Ramos (Sharmila) Aguila of Elk Grove, Carlos Miguel (Lori) Aguila of Elk Grove and Jimmy Mark (Veronica) Aguila of Elk Grove; twenty grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Genadio and Lucas Aguila and sisters, Catalina and Felipa Aguila. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Ramos Aguila on August 29, 2003, son, Ignacio Ramos Aguila on February 3, 2003, and sisters, Polin and Elisa Aguila. Friends are invited to visit Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be said on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church. Committal will immediately follow.
