Richard Henry Koinzan, of Lodi, passed away in Sacramento on Monday, February 19. He was born in Davenport, Nebraska on June 24, 1923 to John and Katie Koinzan. Richard is survived by his children Larry (Rosalind) Koinzan of Sacramento, Ruth (Russ) McCollum of Massachusetts, Janice (Dennis) Coehick of Ohio, Ernie (Jan) Koinzan of Woodbridge, Kathy Bellamy of Oregon, David (Robin) Koinzan of Lodi, and Doug (Jackie) Koinzan; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and siblings Roma Bailey and Marvin Koinzan. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Marian Koinzan, five brothers, three sisters, and two grandchildren. Friends are invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, February 21 from Noon until 8 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Avenue. A chapel service will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with committal immediately following at Lodi Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 207 E. Alpine Ave., Stockton, CA 95204. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Lodi Funeral Home.
