Obituary of Dorothy A. Wolff

Dorothy A. Wolff, a long-time resident of Lodi, passed away in Lodi on March 19, 2007 at the age of 94. Mrs. Wolff was born in Greenway, South Dakota on February 12, 1913 to Jacob and Emilia Lutz. She came to this area in 1938. She owned and operated with her husband, Aaron Wolff, a motel in Livermore and later in Stockton. Mrs. Wolff was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, having sung in the choir, and she was active in the Senior Group in church. She was very social. Mrs. Wolff enjoyed cooking, entertaining, playing games and traveling, but most importantly, she loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Wesley M. (Vicki) Wolff of Lodi; two step-sons, Aaron (Marian) Wolff, Jr., of Plainville, Illinois and James A. Wolff of Phoenix, Arizona; eight grandchildren, Brian Wolff, Charles Wolff, Timothy Wolff, Jay Wolff, Eliszabeth Mill, Cynthia Wolff, Jennell Schneider and Michael Wolff and fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth West of New Orleans, Louisiana; two sisters-in-law, Martha Lutz and Luella Wolff and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur Ottmar in 1937; second husband, Aaron Wolff in 1998; infant son, Wilbert Ottmar; three brothers, Irvin, Bert and Arnold Lutz and sister, Irene Guthmiller. Friends are invited to visit Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Monday from 8:00 a.m. until noon at Lodi Funeral Home. A church service will be held Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m. with committal to immediately follow. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 701 S. Pleasant Avenue, Lodi, CA 95240.
