Obituary of Gerry Lind Werner

Gerry Lind Werner, a life-long resident of Lodi, passed away unexpectedly in Lodi on April 10, 2007 at the age of 74. Gerry was born in Acampo, California on July 29, 1932 to Carl and Emma Lind. She was raised in Lodi. She graduated from Lodi Seventh-day Elementary School and Lodi Academy in 1952. She attended La Sierra College in Southern California. She began employment at Pacific Bell in Lodi and retired after 30 years in 1988. She enjoyed golf, music and house sitting at Carmel. Gerry is survived by her grandson, William "Bill" (wife, Liz) Guthrie of San Jose; great-granddaughter, Stella Guthrie; daughter-in-law, Nancy Werner of Stockton; sister-in-law, Marjorie Hill of Little River, CA; niece, Rebecca Golly; nephew, Erick Lind and her many friends. She will be so dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Lyle Werner in 2002; parents, Carl and Emma Lind; brother, Donald Lind and grandmother, Lydia Schaffer. Friends are invited to visit Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held at Lodi Funeral Home on Sunday at 12:00 noon. Committal will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Lodi Educational Endowment Foundation, 1210 W. Century Blvd., #3, Lodi, CA 95240-6639.
