Obituary of Elizabeth Dixon Morgan Delgado

Elizabeth Dixon Morgan Delgado of San Diego, passed away on April 15, 2007 at the age of 49 as the result of an auto accident. Elizabeth was born on December 31, 1957 in Yuba City to Don and Melba Dixon. Elizabeth worked as a medical office manager for a number of years, and as a certified phlebotomy technician in San Diego since 2002. She was known for her skill and compassion for her patients. Elizabeth was a loving and generous person who showed compassion to all she met. She loved life. She loved her family. She loved animals. She was very active and loved to ski-snow and water. She loved to travel, and particularly loved Italy. She loved the ocean and beach, especially Hawaii, where her children were born, and Jamaica, where she and Terry were married. Her generous spirit shone through to the end, and her gift of organ donation brought new hope to four people on the day she passed away. Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Terry Delgado of San Diego; children, Ryan and Rheanna Morgan of Spokane, WA; step-children, Amber, Tara and Matt Delgado of San Diego; parents, Don and Melba Dixon of Stockton; sister, Meredith (spouse, Fred) Kelley of Chico; brother, Eric Dixon of Belmont, CA; niece and nephews, Shannon and Evan Dixon and Hans Hinrichs. She also leaves behind her extended family of friends and co-workers at Alvarado Hospital. Elizabeth was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, and her beauty, love, and graciousness will be so very dearly missed. There will be a memorial service at Jamul Community Church, 14058 Jamul Drive, Jamul, CA on Saturday, April 28th, at 11:00 a.m. The family plans a celebration of life at a later date, both in southern and northern California. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Elizabeth's memory to Memorial and Honor Program, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
