What beautiful memories we have of Vernon. He will always be special in our hearts and minds. Truly a man of God, Vernon has received the reward he was so deserving of. What beautiful words he was greeted with when the Lord said, Enter--Thy Good and Faithful Servant." It is so comforting to know he is having a reunion with all of our loved ones who have gone on before. We will miss him so much, but we have many precious memories that will last forever. Thank you family, for sharing this special man with us. What a wonderful Christian heritage he has given to his family. Love and prayers, Orrene

It's been a privilege to know Vernon thru marrying his neice, Kay. Vernon always had a smile and a funny story to share. His warmth and sincere interest in us was a blessing to me and our family. I truly pray that the Lord will help me to serve God and others the way Vernon did. Thanks Vernon!

Greetings Beverly and family, I grew up at Oakland Covenant, and if I remember right, Vernon was my camp counselor at Mission Springs some summer in the 1960's. I wanted to let you know that even though it's been years ... I still remember and you are in my prayers. God bless you with His comfort as you say farewell. Praise God that Vern is with the Lord and some day we will be with the Lord too. In His grace and for His glory, Pastor Dan Ward

Dearest Beverly and Family, Vernon was God's best example of being a good neighbor. Every day he practiced what he believed - always showing compassion, understanding, making each day as beautiful as he could for those around him, and always sharing his sense of humor bringing smiles to many. I know I have said this countless of times, but it is true....I have been truly blessed to have you as my neighbor. I love you all and will try to be as good a neighbor as your beloved Vernon. With love always, Tom and Liz

To Beverly and Family: Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Vern was one of the best men whom we have ever had the privilege to know and to call a "friend". A true man of God, who lived what he preached. In Christ, Joe and Miriam

Dr. Kraft was a beloved friend and pastor of mine from years ago, in addition to being one of my school teachers. He was such a good friend during a confusing time of my life, that when he asked me if I wanted to be baptized, I said yes without hesitation. I will miss him dearly.

We enjoyed visiting. Loved his stories. Appreciated his love for the Lord. Remember he and Beverly singing specials during worship service. Amazed at his talent at building birdhouses. Recall memories of Vernon riding our Honda at my home in Bethany. Appreciated being an usher at your wedding.

Dear Beverly, We have always enjoyed being with both of you. The girls remember being with both of you at the beach and that he loved to tease them & that he told them lots of jokes. You brought Sam with you and we had fun playing games with you guys. I remember both of your stories. It was a joy to be with both of you as much as I was growing up. You are a good cook! :) You both were uplifting. We love you and will continue to pray for you, for the Lord to give you strength in the next couple of weeks and also in the future as well. Love you Karl, Kari, Erin and Allison Meier

Dear Bev and Pastor Vernon's Family, We wish we could be there to help celebrate Pastor V's promotion. You all know how much we loved and respected him. It was our pleasure to have him as our Pastor at Antioch Covenant Church. He taught the Holy Bible with fervor. He and Bev were a real fine team. Both sang and supported our Psalm 100 Choir. We were honored to accompany Pastor and Bev to Florida to receive his Doctor of Theology Degree. He is probably walking FAST all over Heaven, as we couldn't keep up with him no matter where we were headed. His joy was infectious. We will miss Pastor V; but we are better for having known him! HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON PASTOR !! Dale & Lodi Steiger
