Obituary of Mary Louise Newell

Mary Louise Newell, a native of Stockton, passed away on May 3, 2007 at the age of 92 in Lodi. Mrs. Newell was born in Stockton on November 4, 1914 to John and Anna Errecart. She was raised and educated in Stockton. She married Marvin Newell, and through the years was very supportive in his farm chemical family business while raising their two children. She and her husband traveled extensively during their retirement, particularly Hawaii, Japan and Europe. She was a beautiful seamstress, wonderful cook, but most importantly, her family was the center of her life, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as the years passed. She was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church and Lodi Women's Club. Mrs. Newell is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Ann, husband, Larry Teixeira of Green Valley, Arizona; daughter-in-law, Ginger Newell Maggio of Lodi; five grandchildren, Kara, husband, Jim Newman, Brandon, wife, Karmina Newell, Lance, wife, Heather Teixeira, Chad, wife, Cammie Newell and Ryan Teixeira; six great-grandchildren, Taylor, Addy and Devin Newman, Rachel and Rebecca Teixeira and Colin Newell; brother, Dominic, wife, Josephine Errecart of Stockton and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Newell, son, Robert Newell and sister, Lillian Newell. Friends are invited to visit Wednesday, from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be said on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church with committal to immediately follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, family has requested that memorial remembrances be made to the American Heart Association, 1212 W. Robinhood Drive, Suite 5-D, Stockton, California 95207, or donor's choice.
