Obituary of Ruben Romo Munoz

Ruben Romo Munoz, of Acampo, passed away on June 12, 2007, at the age of 70. Mr. Munoz was born on July 4, 1936 to Augustine and Dora Munoz in Wheatland, Wyoming. He moved to California, settling in San Jose and Sunnyvale. Mr. Munoz retired in 2002 from El Camino Hospital in Mt. View as a surgical technician, and moved to Acampo. He enjoyed fishing, camping and golfing. He was a member of the Sunken Gardens Men's Club. He is survived by his wife, Pat Munoz of Acampo; four children, Theresa Phillips of Visalia, Tina (husband, Eddie Russell) Munoz of Corning, John (wife, Debbie) Sigala of Lodi and Sheri Hanson of Klamath Falls, Oregon; fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, mother, Dora Munoz of Sunnyvale; six sisters, Annie (husband, Joe) Sotelo of Saratoga, Berta Frank of Sunnyvale, Rosie (husband, John) Leon of Sunnyvale, Jenny (husband, Pete) Martinez of San Jose, Mary Helen (husband, Pete) Singh of Sunnyvale and Mary Lou Calderon of San Jose; three brothers, Joe Valencia of Sunnyvale, Augie (wife, Marian) Munoz of Texas and Victor (wife, Lucy) Munoz of Modesto; mother-in law, Alice Mellen of Acampo. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Davis and brother, Tony Munoz. Friends are invited to visit Friday from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Committal is private.
