Obituary of Frank Joseph Keser

Frank Joseph Keser, Sr., of Lodi, passed away in Lodi on July 6, 2007 at the age of 102. Mr. Keser was born in King City, California on March 2, 1905 to Josef Frank and Rosa Magdalena Kiser. He married Mildred M. Keser on February 2, 1929 in Los Angeles. He worked as a dairyman for 60 years in Chino. After he retired at 65, he went into a commercial maintenance business with his son, Ray Keser. After this he had a lawn service business, working until he was 90 years old. Mr. Keser lived in the Pomona/ Chino area for 87 years, moving to Lodi in 1998. He enjoyed going to Swiss picnics with his family, dancing, walking and watching sports on television. He also enjoyed camping and fishing, and he loved to be with his family and socialize with many. He was a long-time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pomona, St. Anne's Catholic Church in Lodi, Swiss Park, Inc. and Teamster Retirees Association. Mr. Keser is survived by two sons, Edward Keser of Hesperia, Raymond (Sandy) Keser of Chino; daughter-in-law, Louise Keser of Lodi; six grandchildren, Cheryl (Wayne) Peterson, Susanne Keser, Christine (Daniel) Phelps, Randy (Lea Ann) Keser, Deanna (John) Raner-Keser and Fred Keser; three step-grandchildren, Terry (Cheryl) Fowler, John Tyra and Penny Flanigan; twenty-two great-grandchildren and twenty great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Mildred M. Keser in 1987; son, Frank Keser, Jr. in 1999, grandson, Stephen Keser in 1997 and two daughters in-law, Ernestine and Dorothy Keser. Friends are invited to visit at Lodi Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Chapel services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be said at Todd Memorial Chapel in Pomona on Monday, July 16th at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 17th, 10:00 a.m. at St Joseph Catholic Church in Pomona. Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Pomona. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1150 West Holt, Pomona, CA 91768.
