Paul David Garcia of Stockton, formerly of Grants Pass Oregon, passed away in Sacramento, California on July 11, 2007 at the age of 59. David was born in San Jose, California to Paul and Esther Garcia on June 29, 1948. He was educated in the Bay Area. In 1982, he moved to Grants Pass Oregon. He was a counselor who worked with troubled youth and teens for the State of Oregon as well as California. David served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Viet Nam War. He also worked as a missionary in the Philippines. He was passionate about sharing his faith. He enjoyed playing his guitar as well as drawing. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, and he will be so very missed. He is survived by his wife, Deborah "Debbie" Ann Garcia of Stockton; children, Julie (Christophe) Rebboah of Lake Oswego, Oregon, Candice (Robert) Johnson of Grants Pass, Oregon; son, Kirk (Jamie) Garcia of Ashland, Oregon; mother, Esther Garcia of Novato, CA; five step-children; Robert (Brook) See of Forney, Texas, Thomas and Jonathan See, both of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Laura See of Twin Peaks, CA and Cynthia (Evan) Reiss of Riverside, CA; six grandchildren, Hope, Jordinn, Anthony, Isabella, Christian and Gabrielle; five step-grandchildren, Nathan, Christian, Dylan, Angeline and Ashlee; two sisters, Linda (Joseph) Paz of San Rafael, CA and Kathy Wendt of Northern California; brother, Ron (Amanda) Garcia of Martinez, CA. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Garcia. Chapel services were held on Monday, July 16, 2007 at Lodi Funeral Home in Lodi, CA . Committal will take place on Wednesday, July 18th at 3:00 p.m. at Eagle Point National Cemetery in Eagle Point, Oregon.
