Obituary of Ella Fandrich

Ella E. Fandrich of Lodi passed away in Lodi on September 27, 2007 at the age of 86. Mrs. Fandrich was born in Sheridan County, North Dakota on August 11, 1921 to Theobold and Katheryn Hoffer. She married Harold Fandrich; they settled in McCluskey, North Dakota, farming together for thirty years. The family moved to Lodi in 1969. During her life, she lovingly cared for her family and her home. Mrs. Fandrich enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking German dishes and knitting. She was a member of Vinewood Community Church. She is survived by her four children, Sharon (husband, John) Dahl of North Bend, Washington, Charlotte (husband, Earl) Heitzmann of Mariposa, California, Jim Fandrich (wife, Lisbeth) of Fargo, North Dakota and Katheryn Barberis of Lodi; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren -- all the "Apple of her Eye"; brother, Wilmer Hoffer of McCluskey, North Dakota and two sisters, Freda Keszler and Lorraine Carlson of Bismarck, North Dakota; brother-in-law, Bernie Krebsbach of Lodi and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Fandrich, parents, Theobold and Katie Hoffer and sisters, Elsie Erickson and Dolores Krebsbach. Friends are invited to visit Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Vinewood Community Church. Committal will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Mrs. Fandrich's name to Vinewood Community Church, 1900 W. Vine Street, Lodi, CA 95242.
