Obituary of Vernon Bauer

Vernon Bauer was born January 18, 1933 to John Bauer, Jr., and Marie Bosche Bauer in Wishek, ND., he passed away peacefully on October 15, 2007 in Stockton, CA surrounded by his family, he was 74. Raised and educated in Lehr, ND., after graduating high school he joined the U.S. Army where he served with the engineering group. Upon discharge from the Army he worked with Triangle Pacific as a Technician for many years, he then began working as the Courier Manager with Bank of Lodi, a position he enjoyed for over 10 years until his retirement. Vernon was a member Emmanuel Lutheran Church, the American Legion Post and the Lodi Moose Lodge, he also enjoyed traveling and was able to take many trips over the last few years. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Wilma Bauer of Lodi, Sons; Kenton Bauer and his wife Cindy of Lockeford, and Glenn Bauer of San Francisco, and his granddaughter; Jillian Bauer of Santa Barbara. He was preceded in death by his parents; John and Marie Bauer, 1 sister and 2 brothers. Friends may visit Wednesday from Noon until 8 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m., and are invited to attend Funeral Services on Monday, 10 a.m. at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Ave., with interment at Cherokee Memorial Park immediately following. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave., Stockton, CA. 95201.
