Obituary of Beulah Mae Herd

Beulah Mae Herd, of Lodi passed away in Lodi on December 12, 2007 at the age of 79. Mrs. Herd was born in Benger, Oklahoma on July 11, 1928 to Albert and Lena Johnson. In 1944, she married Gerald Herd. They moved to California in 1946, settling in Lodi in 1975. Mrs. Herd enjoyed flower arranging and ceramics, but most importantly, she loved to care for her family. She is survived by her children; Jack Herd of Lodi, Bobby Herd of Phoenix, Arizona, Jane (Pete) Alt of Lodi and Gary (Nancy ) Herd of Woodbridge; nine grandchildren, Jason, Bobby, Brandon, Courtney, Larry, Keily, Meggan, Lindsey and Donovan; five great-grandchildren, Bobby, Justin, Carley, Zachary and Amber; sister, Joella Harper of New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Herd; son, Larry Herd, four brothers, Buck, Jack, Gene and Bill Johnson; two sisters, Alta Howard and Geraldine Bieker. Services and committal were private.
