Obituary of Jason Matthew Krane

Jason Matthew Krane, a long time resident of Contra Costa County, peacefully passed on June 22, 2024 at the age of 53, following complications from severe heart attacks.

Jason is survived by his loving daughter Jessica (TJ Pickering), devoted son Bobby, faithful mother, Roseann Rayes Krane, and brother Tim Krane (Kim), nephew Tobin, and Jason's beloved grand-children Micah and Ophelia. He is preceded in death by his father, Walter Stephen Krane.

Born on December 14, 1970, in Canoga Park, California Jason brought immense joy to his parents, Walter and Roseann Krane.  He began his education at Mt. Diablo Elementary in Concord, California where his athletic prowess shone through in soccer, track, baseball, and swimming.  A talented musician, Jason played the saxophone in the band at Pine Hollow Intermediate School. He was an outstanding academic student at De La Salle High School in Concord.  In boy scouts, Jason achieved the highest rank of Eagle Scout.  He furthered his studies at Diablo Valley College and the University of California, Davis, where he played on the soccer team.

His professional career centered around surveying engineering and construction, fields he was passionate about. Beyond his career, Jason found upmost joy in camping adventures with his children, creating cherished memories that will endure through generations. He faced significant medical challenges, inlcuding battles with cancer, demonstrating immense resilience and courage.  Jason's deep love for his children was evident in every aspect of his life, and his pride in them knew no bounds.  His warm spirit and strength will be dearly missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
