Obituary of Phillip Gene Webb
Phillip Gene Webb, 78, of Acampo, CA went home to heaven on June 9, 2024. Phil was born in Hayward, CA on August 17, 1945 to Hugh and Jesse Webb. After his birth, his family moved back home to Arkansas where he grow up in Thida, Arkansas. There Phil got his love and respect of the outdoors. In his teens Phil and his family moved back to California and the family settled in Lodi.
Phil served his country in the 3rd Infantry Division of the army and received the National Defense Service Medal for rifle sharpshooter. He was honorably discharged in January 1972.
Phil worked for many different jobs in his youth and found his trade in plumbing. He worked for Roto Rooter, Ernie’s Septic and Paul & Sons. And later started his own company Phil & Paul’s Plumbing.
Phil was a reliable, loving, generous and compassionate man. A loyal son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and uncle. And a friend to many. Phil had an adventurous soul and loved to travel the backroads to find the best fishing spots. His dream vacation was to visit Alaska and he got to do that twice. He stood for God and the heart of our country. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time almost every weekly afternoon at the donut shop with his group of friends.
In December 2020, Phil was widowed by his wife, Loretta M. Webb. They enjoyed 44 years of marriage, had 2 daughters, Alicia Gaston (Jesse) and Jessica Larsen (Jeff). From a previous marriage Phil had 1 daughter, Vickie Frey and 2 stepchildren, Tony DeLeon and Dena Brehme. Phil has 10 grandchildren: Dan, Samantha, Tabitha, Catrina, Victoria, Nicole, Allyson, Kaulana, Phoebe and Katelyn and 7 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his companion Judy Flory. Phil was predeceased by his wife Loretta Webb, parents and brothers, Dewel Webb and Clyde Webb.
