Obituary of Dan Mallari Gamoras
Dan Mallari Gamoras was born on June 3, 1944 to Benito and Himena Gamoras from the town of Bacao, General Trias,
Cavite, Philippines. He was the 6 th child of 10 children.
Dan was married on January 14, 1962 and is survived by his wife Emilie Hernandez Gamoras and their 4 children; Danny,
Sally, Joel, and Richard; daughters in law JoAnn and Connie; son in law Bong, their six grandchildren Brandon, Anthony,
Dawn, Justin, Sonny and Jordan; and his 5 siblings Osias, Tino, Solomon, David and Josue.
Dan worked as an aircraft mechanic for several companies such as Air America in Laos, Kaiser Aerospace, Bell Helicopter,
Alameda Naval Air Station and Lockheed Martin. He retired in the mid 1990’s and would travel often back and forth to
their homes in the Philippines and Stockton.
He was a kind and gentle soul who loved his family, especially his grandchildren. While they were very young, he cared
for them and would take them to school every day. They all have fond memories of him taking them out for a nice treat
after school. Dan loved tending to the garden and would grow several types of fruits, vegetables and flowers. Dan could
fix anything – he worked on everything from cars to electronics and built backyard fences and pergolas.
He was also very strong and won the tough battle when he beat COVID in 2020. After fighting other illnesses, Dan
passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 9 th at Kaiser Hospital in Manteca. His love for the Lord and for his family was
evident in his dedication to them. He reminded his family to always be grateful for the many gifts God has blessed them
with. Dan will be dearly remembered by his kind nature and love for his family.
In Loving Memory
Dan Gamoras
