Obituary of Yvonne Gail Mariani

Stockton resident Yvonne “Corky” Mariani passed away Monday, April 29 in Modesto after battling heart illness. She was born July 2, 1954 to parents John and Sibyl Traylor. She was the younger sister to Shirley Garrison.

Corky attended Linden High School and graduated in 1972. She attended beauty school and was a hairdresser for many years until she retired. She then started her new career with her lifelong passion with animals. She was a teacher at Carrington College where she taught veterinary technicians where she was loved by all her students. Corky was a lover of all animals and always had a few on hand. She also loved her crafts, scrapbooking and gardening.

Corky is preceded in death by her father John Traylor and her sister Shirley Garrison. She is survived by her mother Sibyl Traylor, son Brian Jones (Angelica “Kiki”) : her grandchildren, Breanna and Tomas “Tommy”, and son Andrew “Drew” (Lakin).

Per her wishes only a small family gathering will be held.
