Obituary of Kathleen Joan Kollars

Kathleen (Kathy) Joan Kollars, born 4/21/47 in Lima, Ohio, peacefully passed away on March 25th.

She was preceeded in death by her parents (Don and Ethel Leonard) in Lodi and her brother (Jim Leonard) of Pahrump, NV. She is survived by her sister in law Debbie Leonard, her caregiver/friend Bill Fox, many extended family members and friends.

Kathy graduated from Elida High School in Lima, Ohio and from Lima School of Nursing in 1968. She moved to Stockton in 1971 and then to Lodi a few years later. She furthered her education with a Bachelors in Health Science Degree in the 1980s. She was employed as the ICU Manager at Lodi Community Hospital from 1974 until 1999. In 2000 she started working for Hill Physicians until she retired in 2012.

Kathy loved being an R.N., enjoyed her dogs, friends, reading and glamping. She tried to not allow multiple medical issues to decrease her joy and passion for life and sharing time with friends and family.

Kathy will be missed by all who knew her. A celebration of life will be held at her home on April 9th from 11AM to 2PM. Donations may be made to the Humane Society in her name.
