Obituary of Jose Jesus M. Barajas
Galt resident, Jose “Oso” Jesus Marquez Barajas passed away at home on Thursday, March 14th with family by his side. He was born January 1, 1988 to parents Pedro Pascual Jr. and Guadalupe Barajas in Guanajuato, Mexico. He has been a resident of Sacramento County for 25 years, and worked various roles in construction for 10 years.
Jose enjoyed spending time with friends and family, caring for his roosters, and watching football and his favorite team, the Raiders. He is remembered as the best of his friend group - he was the one to always support any of them and was generous with his time and care. He was definitely loved and will be missed.
Jose was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesus Barajas and Maria O. Barajas, and Pedro Sr. and Teresa Pascual. He is survived by his children, Isaac and Isabel Marquez; his parents, Pedro Pascual Jr. and Lupe Barajas; long time companion, Viviana Cuellar; siblings, Maria Marquez (Benito Ocampo), Alfonso Barajas (Breana Barajas); Kayla Pascual (Timothy Hagen), Pedro Pascual III, Diego Pascual, and Samuel Pascual; the mother of his children, Alejandra Paredes and many more beloved family and friends.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21st from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. with a Recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m., at the Lodi Funeral Home Chapel, 725 S. Fairmont Ave., in Lodi. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 22nd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 215 Walnut St., in Lodi, followed by a committal at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 & Harney Ln, in Lodi.
