I went to his church, Harvest, with my best friend, Sandi F., and Lola was singing along with John. It was wonderful and moving. Sandi and her two boys loved Johnny Mays! May he rest in the loving arms of his Heavenly Father. Well done, my good and faithful servant.

In our hearts, we bid farewell to a soul who embodied boundless love and kindness. Papa was a beacon of wisdom and generosity, whose spirit often sparkled with humor. His adventurous nature fortified by faith led us down fascinating paths filled with music and stories of life from summers spent trucking. His thoughtfulness enriched lives, teaching the delicate lessons of prayer, love, courage, intelligence in every elephant trinket or pair of chop sticks he gifted to us. He will be profoundly missed yet cherished eternally.

Too many memories to just mention one. Absolutely love Sunday morning worship with him playing. Many softball games at Louse Park. He was always smiling and giving an encouraging word. Well done thy good and faithful servant, Pastor Johnny

So thankful to the Lord for the huge blessing of having Pastor Johnny and Judy as our pastors and friends -- since 31 years ago or so, when we were in Baker City, Oregon. The Holy Spirit arrived with such presence and power when they came to Baker City! The church as a whole was not prepared for it - it was a brief time; but it was impactive! I learned so much from Pastor Johnny about the kingdom of God and how to "real-eyes" the spiritual vs the limitations of a mere religious understanding. Having just re-read his book, "O Death, Where Is Thy Sting?," with his personal accounting of just how powerfully God got his full attention, I can understand Pastor Johnny's lifetime responses to minister in the many ways and in the various places all over the globe - for the Lord's glory! I so appreciate Judy, his wife, and all the family for being supportive of his calling. His relating his grateful love for and his understanding of his family's strength are memorable messages I can recall as well. Again, so thankful! ........

My life changed forever when I met Johnny Mays in 1995. He did a series of services in May and in the fall, there were 5 of our church members in Kolomna, Russia with him. When he asked me to do his correspondence and books for National ight Ministries, I agreed and carry on his ministry to this day. Over the years, we traveled to many countries, sent out newsletters, ordained and mentored many other ministers. Pastor Johnny was truly a spiritual father to many. I have included pictures from our close relationship with Steve and Esther Ngethe in Kenya and a picture of him when we were in Paul's prison in Rome.
His teaching, and mentoring will influence young and old for generations to come.
